Kunming 4.3-magnitude earthquake emergency response terminated, all suspended trains have resumed operation.

On September 30, a magnitude 4.3 earthquake occurred in Panlong District, Kunming City. After the earthquake, the Office of the Yunnan Provincial Earthquake Relief and Disaster Mitigation Command launched a Level IV earthquake emergency response, immediately coordinated efforts to assess the disaster situation, and guided Kunming City to carry out a grid-style inspection of key areas and densely populated places such as old residential communities, transportation facilities, reservoirs, and sports venues, promptly address risks and hidden dangers, and conduct emergency response work such as public safety precautions. As of 10:00 a.m. on October 1, the earthquake had caused no casualties or serious house damage, and all fallen debris from the exterior walls of some buildings had been fully cleaned up and disposed of. Normal and high-speed trains that had been suspended due to the earthquake impact all resumed operation by 20:40 on September 30. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Yunnan Provincial Earthquake Emergency Plan, the Office of the Provincial Earthquake Relief and Disaster Mitigation Command decided to terminate the Level IV earthquake emergency response for Kunming City at 11:00 on October 1.
