Micron Technology: Capital expenditures for the first half of fiscal 2027 will be approximately $25 billion, and will be higher in the second half.
Micron Technology expects capital expenditures of approximately $25 billion in the first half of fiscal 2027, with higher spending in the second half, and most of the incremental amount will be used for new wafer fabs rather than equipment purchases. Micron CFO Mark Murphy explained that this is entirely because long-term contracts provide sufficient demand visibility, and building new greenfield factories requires extremely long lead times.
