Petronas says Songkhla export pipeline temporarily shut

Petronas, Malaysia's state-owned energy company, said on Thursday that its joint venture with Thailand's PTT, "Trans Thai-Malaysia," has temporarily shut down the Songkhla export pipeline after a problem was found during a routine inspection. The Songkhla export pipeline is part of the "Trans Thai-Malaysia Gas System," which connects offshore gas production in the Gulf of Thailand with gas processing and markets in Thailand and Malaysia. Petronas said it will take proactive measures to ensure continuity of customer service.
