RBA's forward guidance sees subtle adjustment, removes timetable for inflation's return to target
Analyst Justin Low said the RBA made a subtle adjustment to its forward guidance in its latest monetary policy statement, removing its previous time-based expectation for when inflation would return to the target range. In August, the RBA said: "Inflation remains too high. It is expected to fall back to around the midpoint of the target range only by late 2027, and this forecast is subject to upside risks." But in today's statement, the RBA no longer provided a specific timetable.
