AI giants join forces with labor unions to push for data center development

According to reports, artificial intelligence companies, private equity firms, and labor unions are looking beyond 2026 on data center issues, jointly forming a new multi-million-dollar alliance aimed at promoting "responsible growth" in seven key states. The new organization, called the "American Infrastructure Alliance," hopes to work with state and local officials to develop standards and regulatory guidelines for data center construction in 2027. In return, the alliance hopes to avoid bans on new projects.
