National Bureau of Statistics: From January to August 2026, profits of industrial enterprises above designated size nationwide increased by 15.7% year-on-year, continuing rapid profit growth.

Zhitong Finance APP has learned that on September 28, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed that from January to August, industrial enterprises above designated size nationwide achieved a total profit of 5,271.98 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.7%. From the perspective of the three major categories, profits in the mining industry increased by 35.1%, manufacturing profits increased by 17.4%, and profits in the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas, and water decreased by 12.0%. From January to August, among industrial enterprises above designated size, state-controlled enterprises achieved a total profit of 1,675.99 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.3%; joint-stock enterprises achieved a total profit of 4,071.46 billion yuan, an increase of 20.4%; foreign-invested enterprises and enterprises invested by Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan achieved a total profit of 1,179.47 billion yuan, an increase of 2.3%; private enterprises achieved a total profit of 1,321.32 billion yuan, an increase of 10.4%.
