In 2025, global digital trade exports increased by 7.1% year-on-year.

At the ongoing fifth Global Digital Trade Expo, the Global Digital Trade Development Report 2026 was released. The report shows that despite continued uncertainties in the global economy and geopolitics, global digital trade has continued to grow. Data from the report show that in 2025, global digital trade exports reached 7.75 trillion U.S. dollars, up 7.1 percent year on year, accounting for 22.2 percent of total global exports of goods and services, an increase of 2.6 percentage points compared with 2021. It has outperformed the overall growth rate of global trade for many consecutive years, highlighting its resilience under multiple external pressures.
