Amazon (AMZN.O) plans to invest $3 billion by 2030 to expand its quick commerce business in India, according to two people familiar with the matter. This would be the company's largest investment in the sector to date, after rivals stole a march by popularizing "minute-level" delivery services. Amazon plans to invest $1 billion in the quick commerce business by the end of 2027 and an additional $2 billion by 2030, said the two people with direct knowledge of the plan. The company said its quick commerce business has surpassed $1 billion in annualized gross merchandise sales over the past three months, "making it the fastest-growing e-commerce business in Amazon India's history."
