Ministry of Culture and Tourism: Promote refined services to tackle congestion, parking, and restroom challenges.

The State Council Information Office held a press conference in its series on "Getting Off to a Good Start in the 15th Five-Year Plan." At the press conference, a relevant official from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism introduced that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, efforts will be made to promote refined services so that the people can travel more comfortably. Focusing on solving problems such as congestion and stranded travelers, parking and toilet access, service quality, and environmental sanitation, efforts will be made to improve the level of refined services. Support will be given to popular scenic areas and cultural and museum venues to dynamically adjust opening hours, optimize reservation methods, and increase reception capacity, improve shuttle bus services, and enhance the convenience of entry and the comfort of sightseeing, so that services are of high quality. Efforts will focus on shoring up weaknesses in public tourism services, optimizing the push of tourism information, improving the service level of tourism toilets, strengthening the construction of barrier-free facilities, and advancing age-friendly renovations, so that services are more considerate. The tourism market service quality evaluation system will be improved, regular skills training for practitioners will be carried out, and a number of industry service benchmarks will be cultivated, so that services are warm. Recently, the State Council General Office transmitted the "Several Measures on Promoting RV Consumption" formulated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism together with nine departments, proposing measures such as ensuring RV passage and parking and strengthening the construction of RV campsites, precisely in order to better meet people's needs for self-driving travel.
