The Hong Kong government plans to raise HK$15 billion to HK$20 billion ($1.9 billion to $2.6 billion) through a multi-currency digital green bond issuance, which would be the largest such deal globally, according to people familiar with the matter. The bonds, denominated in US dollars, Hong Kong dollars, euros and offshore yuan, could be priced as early as next Monday, the people said, asking not to be identified because the information is private.
