ADB: Slightly raises this year's growth forecast for developing Asia-Pacific economies to 5%

According to Zhitong Finance APP, on September 23, the Asian Development Bank released the "Asian Development Outlook (September 2026 Edition)," raising its forecast for the economic growth rate of developing economies in Asia and the Pacific in 2026 from 4.9% in July to 5.0%, while maintaining its 2027 forecast at 5.1%. The ADB stated that although geopolitical tensions and an intensifying El Nio phenomenon are driving up energy and food prices, strong investment, government stimulus measures, and robust growth in technology exports driven by the global artificial intelligence (AI) investment cycle are providing support for economic growth.
