Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and four other departments: Organize the recommendation work for the 2026 national green computing facilities.

Zhitong Finance APP has learned that on September 21, five departments including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly issued the Notice on Organizing the Recommendation of National Green Computing Facilities for 2026. The Notice specifies the detailed requirements and procedures for the recommendation of national green computing facilities and releases the Evaluation Index System for National Green Computing Facilities for 2026. The new version of the Index System covers four aspects: energy utilization level, carbon emission management level, water resource utilization level, and computing resource utilization level. In terms of evaluation content, indicators such as energy efficiency per unit of computing power, carbon utilization efficiency, digital carbon management, and product carbon footprint have been newly included, further highlighting the leading role of energy efficiency and carbon efficiency. In terms of evaluation scoring, the scores of key indicators such as carbon utilization efficiency, water resource utilization efficiency, the proportion of renewable energy electricity, and rack resource utilization level have been increased, further emphasizing the overall requirements of green, low-carbon, intensive, and circular development.
