The National Bureau of Statistics has released the "15th Five-Year Plan" for statistical reform and development. The plan proposes improving price statistics. It calls for refining the industrial producer price statistical survey, optimizing the base period rotation of the Producer Price Index (PPI), and advancing the compilation of a PPI based on production flow stages. Goods and services that reflect new consumption formats and models should be promptly incorporated into the consumer price statistical survey, and the base period rotation cycle of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) should be shortened.
