The summer fishing moratorium has ended, and all four major sea areas in China fully opened for fishing today.
The reporter learned from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs that at 12:00 today, the summer fishing moratorium in the Yellow Sea and East China Sea areas between 35 degrees north latitude and 26 degrees 30 minutes north latitude will end after four and a half months. With this, all four major sea areas under China's jurisdiction - the Bohai Sea, Yellow Sea, East China Sea, and South China Sea - will be fully open to fishing. After four and a half months of recuperation, the total resource density in the northern East China Sea in the late moratorium period increased by about 9.8 times compared with the early moratorium period, and that in the southern Yellow Sea increased by 4.7 times.
