The opening ceremony of the 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum was held in Beijing.
On the morning of the 16th, the opening ceremony of the 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum was held at the Beijing International Convention Center. The theme of this year's forum is "Building Consensus for Stability and Promoting Security Governance." Nearly 100 official delegations from countries, regions, and international organizations, as well as domestic and foreign experts and scholars, are attending, including more than 60 representatives at the ministerial level and above or at the level of military chief of staff. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Beijing Xiangshan Forum. Over the past 20 years, the forum has always upheld the concept of "equality, openness, inclusiveness, and mutual learning," and has played an important role in building security consensus, promoting defense cooperation, and safeguarding regional peace and stability. During the forum, four plenary sessions, eight parallel group sessions, and multiple closed-door academic meetings will be held. Participating representatives will exchange views and hold discussions on topics such as the international order and strategic stability, solutions to local conflicts, and security and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.
