Nissan to invest 170 million to produce a new hybrid SUV at its UK plant
According to the UK's Financial Times, Nissan will invest 170 million to start production of a new hybrid SUV at its Sunderland plant. A person familiar with the matter, who declined to be named, said that once the Kicks model goes into production, the Sunderland plant's annual output could increase by up to 50,000 vehicles. Nissan's manufacturing cooperation project with Chery is moving forward; the two sides have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding. Chery plans to produce three models at the Sunderland plant.
