New application progress achieved in China's computing infrastructure

Yesterday, the core node of the national supercomputing internet released application results. China's independently developed new-generation numerical model, relying on a domestic 100,000-card AI supercluster, completed in 1 hour the calculation of a 10-day global forecast at 5-kilometer resolution, reaching the timeliness standards of international mainstream models. Chinese research teams also completed a global 3-kilometer-resolution simulation experiment.
