Pakistan and Lebanon agree to strengthen security and counter-terrorism cooperation

On the 15th local time, Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with visiting Lebanese Interior Minister Hajjar in the capital Islamabad. The two sides focused their discussions on strengthening cooperation in areas such as security, counterterrorism, drug control, combating illegal immigration, anti-money laundering, and cybercrime, and agreed to enhance exchanges and cooperation between the two countries' police academies and in personnel training. Both sides agreed to jointly combat terrorism and drug trafficking crimes through intelligence sharing, respond to emerging security challenges, and will work to promote the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the interior departments of the two countries as soon as possible, while designating liaison officers to strengthen bilateral coordination.
