Data from the China Automotive Battery Innovation Alliance shows that in August, China's power and energy storage battery sales reached 223.1 GWh, up 20.5% month-on-month and 65.9% year-on-year. Among them, power battery sales were 146.8 GWh, accounting for 65.8% of total sales, up 13.7% month-on-month and 48.5% year-on-year; energy storage battery sales were 76.3 GWh, accounting for 34.2% of total sales, up 36.0% month-on-month and 114.3% year-on-year. From January to August, China's cumulative power and energy storage battery sales were 1,387.7 GWh, up 50.7% year-on-year. Among them, cumulative power battery sales were 937.2 GWh, accounting for 67.5% of total sales, up 38.7% year-on-year; cumulative energy storage battery sales were 450.5 GWh, accounting for 32.5% of total sales, up 83.8% year-on-year.
