Tianjin plans to introduce new provident fund policies, allowing withdrawals for property management fees and renovation costs.

On September 15, the website of the Tianjin Housing Provident Fund Management Center published an announcement soliciting public opinions on the "Notice on Policies Relating to the Withdrawal of Housing Provident Fund for Property Management Fees and Renovation Costs of Self-Occupied Housing." The main contents of the Notice are as follows: First, employees and their spouses who own housing in this city may withdraw housing provident fund once before December 31 each year to pay property management fees, with the total annual withdrawal amount not exceeding 3,000 yuan. Second, for employees and their spouses who purchase housing in this city and meet the conditions for withdrawing housing provident fund for housing purchase in this city, they may withdraw housing provident fund once for that housing within two years from the delivery date specified in the purchase contract for newly built housing, or within two years from the date of obtaining housing ownership for second-hand housing, to pay for housing renovation costs. The withdrawal amount shall be 1,500 yuan per square meter multiplied by the floor area of the purchased housing, with the total not exceeding 150,000 yuan. Third, for employees and their spouses who have held the same housing in this city for 10 years and have not withdrawn housing provident fund in the past year for housing purchase payments, down payments, or repayment of housing loan principal and interest, they may withdraw housing provident fund once for that housing to pay for housing renovation and refurbishment costs, with the total withdrawal amount not exceeding 30,000 yuan. Fourth, if employees have made either type of withdrawal for renovation of newly purchased housing or for housing renovation and refurbishment for 10 years, they may, in accordance with the regulations, withdraw housing provident fund again under the above policies to pay for housing renovation costs.
