National Bureau of Statistics: Total real estate transactions stabilized in the first eight months

On September 15, Fu Linghui, spokesperson for the National Bureau of Statistics, chief economist, and director of the Department of Comprehensive Statistics of the National Economy, said at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office that from January to August, the floor area of newly built commercial housing sold nationwide fell 12.1% year on year, but the online signing area of second-hand housing rose 10.6% year on year, and the total volume of transactions in the real estate market tended to stabilize.
