According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in August, the output of raw coal by industrial enterprises above designated size was 360 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 7.7 percent, with the decline narrowing by 2.4 percentage points from July; the average daily output was 11.67 million tons. From January to August, the output of raw coal by industrial enterprises above designated size was 3.06 billion tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.3 percent. In August, the output of crude oil by industrial enterprises above designated size was 18.43 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.8 percent, with the growth rate flat compared with July; the average daily output was 595,000 tons. From January to August, the output of crude oil by industrial enterprises above designated size was 146 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.9 percent. In August, the output of natural gas by industrial enterprises above designated size was 21.4 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 0.8 percent, compared with a decrease of 0.9 percent in July; the average daily output was 690 million cubic meters. From January to August, the output of natural gas by industrial enterprises above designated size was 175.7 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 1.1 percent. In August, the power generation of industrial enterprises above designated size was 943.8 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year decrease of 0.8 percent; the average daily power generation was 30.44 billion kilowatt-hours. From January to August, the power generation of industrial enterprises above designated size was 6,647.6 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 2.4 percent.
