Buildots, a startup that uses artificial intelligence to help accelerate the construction of high-cost large-scale projects such as data centers, chip factories, and hospitals, has raised a new $130 million funding round. The startup said in a statement on Monday that the round was led by billionaire Eyal Ofer's OG Venture Partners, with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Intel Capital, and other institutions. The company has raised a total of $297 million since it was founded in 2018. CEO Roy Danon said in an interview that after completing this round, the startup's valuation is close to $1 billion. According to the company, the Buildots platform compares actual construction progress with design plans and schedules, identifies bottlenecks, and predicts delays. Its customers include chipmaker Intel, data center builder Digital Realty, and major U.S. construction firms STO Building Group and JE Dunn Construction Co.
