According to shipping data and trade sources, Saudi Aramco resumed loading crude oil in the Strait of Hormuz last week, with more tankers waiting to be loaded; meanwhile, the company is providing spot heavy crude oil. On Monday, Saudi Arabia offered Arab Medium Crude and Arab Heavy Crude to some Asian refineries, planning to load them later this month via ship-to-ship transfer near Fujairah, UAE. Previously, Saudi Arabia had suspended sales for several weeks after its tanker fleet was attacked in the Strait of Hormuz during the escalation of US-Iran conflict last month. Shipping tracking agencies Vortexa and Kpler reported that from August 12 to 16, three Very Large Crude Carriers the "Malaysia Prosperity," the "Algeria Prosperity," and the "Singapore Prosperity" loaded a total of 2 million barrels of crude oil from the Ju'aymah and Ras Tanura terminals. These two ports had not operated loading activities for three weeks prior. It remains unclear what type of crude oil these tankers loaded. Preliminary data from Kpler suggests that six more VLCCs may load Saudi crude from the Strait of Hormuz later this month. Traders indicated that aside from vessels from Sinokor, Saudi Aramco might also send Saudi tankers for transshipment through the Strait of Hormuz.
