The strong earthquake in Venezuela has resulted in 6,438 deaths.

The chairman of the National Assembly of Venezuela, Jorge Rodrguez, stated on social media that the number of casualties from the earthquake on June 24 has risen to 6,438. Rodrguez's post indicated that 6,462 people have been rescued, and over 86,000 have received treatment in hospitals. On the evening of June 24, Venezuela experienced the strongest earthquake in over a century, with two tremors of over magnitude 7 occurring within one minute.
