The issuance of U.S. investment-grade bonds has set a monthly record for the third consecutive month, continuing the fastest issuance pace in the history of the bond market. Companies are investing heavily in artificial intelligence infrastructure, driving an increase in corporate borrowing demand. According to institutional statistics, as of Monday, the issuance scale of U.S. investment-grade bonds in August reached $145.2 billion, surpassing the previous record of $136 billion set in August 2020. Earlier this year, January, June, and July each set their respective single-month issuance records, with three other months also ranking as the second highest in history. Data indicates that this month's issuance scale was primarily driven by Alphabets (GOOG.O) $25 billion bond issuance. This marks the eighth transaction this year to reach or exceed $25 billion in issuance, all of which have come from tech companies.
