Bridgewater's holdings in the second quarter increased to $24.4 billion, significantly increasing its position in the S&P 500 ETF while reducing its stake in Amazon and other tech stocks.
On August 17, according to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Bridgewater Fund held approximately $24.4 billion in U.S. stocks and related assets in its 13F positions at the end of the second quarter, an increase of about 8.9% from $22.4 billion in the first quarter. In terms of holdings structure, the top five holdings were SPDR S&P 500 ETF, iShares Core S&P 500 ETF, NVIDIA, Broadcom, and Amazon, with allocation percentages of 16.30%, 9.22%, 3.17%, 2.04%, and 1.98%, respectively. The combined allocation of the first two S&P 500 ETFs exceeded 25%. In the second quarter, Bridgewater significantly increased its stakes in SPDR S&P 500 ETF and iShares Core S&P 500 ETF, as well as in Vanguard S&P 500 ETF, PG&E, and Shell. On the reduction side, Bridgewater significantly scaled back its positions in Amazon, Micron Technology, TSMC, GE Vernova, and Microsoft.
