The list of selected scholars for the 2026 International Fundamental Science Conference's Fundamental Science Innovation has been announced.

On August 17, 2026, The Paper learned from the organizers of the International Conference on Basic Sciences that the results of the selection for the Innovative Scholars in Basic Sciences award for the 2026 International Conference have been announced, with 11 scholars from both China and abroad being selected. After two rounds of rigorous evaluation, and based on the applicants' research backgrounds, expert recommendation letters, and research project proposals, the review committee ultimately selected 11 outstanding scholars from the initial pool of candidates to join this year's Innovative Scholars in Basic Sciences support program. The selected scholars cover a wide range of research fields, including geometry, algebraic geometry, number theory, computational mathematics, quantum field theory, quantum gravity, neutrino experimental physics, medical applications of geometric imagery, optimization problems, as well as artificial intelligence and fine proofs, among other fundamental and frontier interdisciplinary directions.
