Hong Kong Monetary Authority: The total amount of credit card receivables decreased by 2.1% to HK$154.6 billion in the second quarter of 2026.
The Zhitong Finance APP has learned that the Hong Kong Monetary Authority announced the results of its credit card loan survey for the second quarter of 2026 today (August 17). The total accounts receivable for credit cards fell by 2.1% in the second quarter of 2026 to HK$154.6 billion by the end of June, compared to a decrease of 3.8% in the previous quarter. The ratio of delinquencies and restructured accounts was 0.42% at the end of June 2026, down from 0.45% at the end of the previous quarter. The quarterly write-off rate for credit cards in the second quarter of 2026 was 0.61%, up from 0.56% in the previous quarter.
