The National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration have issued the "14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Oil and Natural Gas."
By 2030, the domestic supply of oil and gas will reach 440 million tons of oil equivalent, with an additional 20,000 kilometers of long-distance oil and gas pipelines. The national oil and gas long-distance transmission network will expand to 220,000 kilometers. The scale of natural gas reserves will continue to grow, accounting for over 13% of national consumption. The liquefied natural gas (LNG) receiving capacity will reach 200 million tons per year, while land pipeline imports of natural gas will have a capacity of 114 billion cubic meters per year. Carbon capture and storage (CCS) or carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) will inject 10 million tons of carbon dioxide annually.
