European stock markets mostly rose on Monday, following a week in which most major indices declined, with only the German DAX index hitting a historical high. The European Stoxx 600 index increased by 0.2%, led by technology and pharmaceutical stocks. SpaceX supplier STMicroelectronics rose by 3%, while ASML and its smaller competitor ASM International gained 2.35% and 2.7%, respectively. Dutch pharmaceutical company Argenx led the market with a rise of about 7.7%, following the release of positive clinical trial results. The German DAX index and the UK FTSE 100 index rose by 0.02% and 0.3%, respectively, while the French CAC 40 index fell by 0.1%.
