According to the latest data from Omdia, the global shipment of wearable wristband devices is expected to decline by 2% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026. However, this overall decline masks a growing divergence in consumer demand. Thanks to the strong performance of high-end sports models, the shipment of smartwatches has increased by 6%. Meanwhile, new types of screenless basic wristbands are also gaining momentum, as consumers are increasingly inclined to choose minimalist devices or more powerful sports watches.
