Focusing on Supply Chain Collaboration, CATL Announces Its 2035 Full Value Chain Carbon Neutral Action Plan
According to a Weibo post by CATL, today at the 2026 CATL Core Operations Carbon Neutrality Conference, Huang Bin, the head of the Purchasing Center and the Planning and Material Control Department of CATL, stated that more than 80% of the carbon emissions throughout the entire lifecycle of lithium batteries come from various stages of the supply chain. In the next phase, CATL's goal is to achieve carbon neutrality across the entire value chain, from mineral resources to finished batteries, by 2035. To achieve this goal, the focus will be on collaborative efforts within the supply chain. CATL has thoroughly broken down the objectives, from calculating the carbon footprint to targeted carbon reduction, and has developed specific action plans.
