Located in the East China Sea, the Luhua Mountain anchorage is an important area for international vessels passing through Shanghai Port to avoid storms, reduce load, wait for supply, and conduct semi-submersible operations. Nowadays, the clean fuel supply function here has become increasingly mature. On the morning of August 16, the Haigang Weilai LNG bunkering vessel and the Haigang Zhiyuan methanol bunkering vessel successively completed fuel loading operations at Luhua Mountain anchorage. Among them, the Haigang Zhiyuan was bunkering domestically produced biomass methanol for the Maltese-flagged CMA CGM Osmium; the Haigang Weilai was bunkering liquefied natural gas for the Singapore-flagged Tengcheng. This dual-vessel bunkering operation spanned from August 15 to August 16, marking the first large-scale simultaneous bunkering of two types of green fuel for international vessels at an offshore anchorage in Shanghai Port. This signifies that the offshore energy bunkering operations at Shanghai Port have developed the capability for diversified and large-scale supply.
