The planting area of cool-season vegetables in Inner Mongolia has reached 4.13 million acres.

On the 15th, a reporter learned from the Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region that as of now, the planting area for cool-season vegetables in Inner Mongolia has reached 4.13 million acres, with an annual output of nearly 16 million tons, providing a variety of high-quality vegetables to tables across the country. According to reports, Inner Mongolia has fully leveraged its advantages in climate, ample sunlight, clean soil, and low incidence of pests and diseases to produce high-quality green organic vegetables. It has established 248 cold storage facilities, achieving full coverage for precooling at the production site; there are four national backbone cold chain logistics bases, and front warehouses have been set up in Beijing and Zhengzhou to ensure that products remain fresh and reach the entire country. The planting area for fresh sweet corn in Inner Mongolia exceeds 600,000 acres, with an annual production of about 2 billion ears. It has also built the largest sweet corn kernel processing base in the country, with products exported to over 20 countries and regions. This year, Inner Mongolia is fully implementing a strong foundation project for cool-season vegetables, introducing special policies to support base construction, seedling breeding, deep processing, and cold chain logistics, along with financial support such as loan interest subsidies and industrial insurance, to enhance the stability and supply capacity of quality vegetable production.
