Israel has initiated a public relations campaign aimed at guiding artificial intelligence systems like ChatGPT in their responses to questions regarding Israel, Gaza, and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Several public relations firms commissioned by Israel have established the Hannover Public Policy Institute, which has released a number of interrogative reports, such as "Is the Israel Defense Forces the most ethical army in the world?" and "Is there a deliberate policy of famine in Gaza?" These documents are part of a public relations project funded by Israel, with a total investment of $100,000. Relevant tests have shown that when users pose neutral questions, ChatGPT and the Perplexity AI model refer to materials published by this institute. Israel has also funded another public opinion intervention project totaling $46.5 million, which specifically builds various websites and produces customized content in order to influence the "content output direction of GPT models."
