Stripe and Advent are in talks to acquire PayPal.

According to informed sources, PayPal Holdings is negotiating a sale with a consortium that includes Stripe and private equity firm Advent International. Stripe and Advent proposed to acquire PayPal for $60.50 per share in July this year, but PayPal considers the offer too low. The two parties are currently negotiating for a potentially higher price.
