On August 15, the cross-border tourism route from Erenhot, China to Zamiin-Uud, Mongolia officially opened. According to reports, tourists wishing to travel to Zamiin-Uud in Mongolia do not need to apply for a passport in advance. They only need to submit their valid resident identity card to a travel agency with legitimate qualifications for operating border tourism to register. The entire process, including the standardized completion of the list of Chinese citizens' border tourism groups, personnel information screening, and issuance of travel permits, will be handled uniformly by the travel agency at the Erenhot Public Security Bureaus Exit and Entry Administration Division. Various backend systems will be connected for parallel approval, allowing the issuance of permits to be completed upon submission of materials.
