On the evening of August 14, Dongfanghong Asset Management announced that its first ETF product, the Dongfanghong CSI Cloud Computing 50 ETF, will officially launch on August 20. Dongfanghong Asset Management is the latest active equity-focused fund manager to enter the ETF market, following Xiamen-based Xingzheng Global Fund and Jiao Yin Schroder Fund. With the completion of the first ETF application by China Europe Fund on August 4, active management companies that rank among the top in domestic non-money public offerings have essentially filled in the gaps in the passive investment landscape. Industry insiders have pointed out that this move is not merely a trend but is based on strategic positioning by institutions and the increasingly diversified allocation needs of their clients. For fund managers, entering the ETF market is an essential step in enhancing the strategic layout of their product lines, broadening and deepening client service through passive tools. Moreover, in the anticipated innovative product planning, ETFs have become the "entrance ticket" for an increasing number of fund companies competing in new products, laying a solid foundation for companies to explore diversified strategies and develop more innovative businesses in the next phase.
