SK Hynix's total revenue in the first half of this year was 131.90 trillion won, a year-on-year increase of 230.8%; net profit attributable to the parent company reached 134.15 trillion won, a year-on-year increase of 788.16%; and the gross margin was 81.63%, an increase of 26.24 percentage points compared to the same period last year. In terms of R&D investment, SK Hynix's R&D expenditure in the first half of the year amounted to 6.04 trillion won, equivalent to 90% of last year's total. Among this, 5.82 trillion won was accounted for as current expenses, and 226.6 billion won was capitalized as development costs under intangible assets. R&D expenditure accounted for 4.6% of revenue. The company is focusing its R&D efforts on AI and high-performance computing areas such as HBM4, next-generation DRAM, high-capacity DDR5, 321-layer NAND, and enterprise-grade solid-state drives. In the first half of the year, SK Hynix's capital expenditure for acquiring tangible assets was 17.59 trillion won, with an average operating rate of domestic and international production facilities maintained at 100%; the number of clients contributing over 10% to revenue increased from 1 in the first half of last year to 2 this year, with the two clients contributing 13.35% and 13.03% of revenue, respectively. Industry analysts believe that the top client is likely NVIDIA, whose contribution to sales exceeded 17 trillion won, accounting for approximately 13% of SK Hynix's total revenue.
