Multiple new standards approved; this year, China's capability in metrology for public welfare is showing a trend of simultaneous improvement in quantity and quality.

The reporter learned today that from January to July 2026, the State Administration for Market Regulation approved the establishment of 36 new measurement standards, an increase of 33.3% compared to the same period last year; 704 national standard substances were newly approved, an increase of 73.8% compared to the same period last year; and 27 national measurement technical specifications were newly approved.
