Boeing's efforts to transform its business are receiving enthusiastic applause from Wall Street, with analysts' bullish sentiment towards the company reaching its highest level in nearly four years this week. On Tuesday, following upgrades from Argus Research and BNP Paribas within ten days, the proportion of buy recommendations for the aircraft manufacturer rose to its highest since October 2022. Among the 32 analysts tracked by the institutions, none recommend selling the stock. As analyst optimism heats up, Boeing last week finally received long-awaited certification from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration for its 737 Max 7 jet, concluding a nearly decade-long approval process that had been marred by two fatal crashes and quality issues. Company CEO Stephanie Pope described it as a "key moment in Boeing's recovery." Boeing's stock price has largely remained stagnant this year, rising only about 6%, while the broader market surged 13% during the same period. Its biggest competitor, Airbus, saw its stock listed in Paris rise approximately 8% during the same time frame.
