A bus driver in Ningxia was caught watching short videos while driving, and the involved company has issued a report.

On August 14, the official WeChat account "" reported that after investigation, on August 8, a newly hired driver, Tang, from the company's subsidiary express passenger transport division, repeatedly used his mobile phone to browse videos and avoided dynamic vehicle monitoring while driving during a scheduled transport task. On August 9, the express passenger transport division noticed a video posted by a netizen and decided to suspend the driver pending further handling. On August 11, the Longhu Traffic Police Brigade in Shizuishan City imposed penalties and deducted points from both the driver and the express passenger transport division, and issued a safety hazard rectification notice. The driver's illegal actions posed significant safety risks and were extremely egregious, exposing issues in the company's driver onboarding education. The company felt deep remorse and guilt and has taken serious measures against the driver, the division head, and relevant responsible persons: the driver Tang's driving qualification with the company has been revoked and added to the group companys "blacklist," making him ineligible for future employment; the head of the express passenger transport division and relevant safety management personnel have been interviewed and will face accountability penalties in accordance with the companys safety production management system; and rewards will be given to the passengers who first reported the driver watching videos while driving.
