Zhejiang: Formulating a Medical Application List for Brain-Computer Interface Products

Recently, the General Office of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government issued several measures to promote the collaboration between industry, academia, and research in brain-computer interfaces. Among the measures, it mentioned the release of an application scenario list. Focusing on areas such as sensory motion enhancement, treatment of major brain diseases, and brain health management and intervention, the goal is to develop a number of typical medical application scenarios and promote the pioneering and trial use of innovative brain-computer interface products. Optimize the product application pathways. A medical application list for brain-computer interface products will be formulated and dynamically updated based on the approval status of products for market entry. Brain-computer interface companies are encouraged to set reasonable prices independently. Pilot projects will be launched to demonstrate and promote the application of innovative medical devices in brain-computer interfaces. Advance government first purchase orders. For brain-computer interface products that meet the policies for first equipment or first batch materials, appropriate methods will be chosen to carry out government first purchases and orders according to the relevant requirements.
