The United States will impose tariffs on drones and their components, with a maximum tax rate of 100%.
The White House issued a statement saying that U.S. President Trump has signed an announcement to impose tariffs at different rates on certain drones and their components. The measures include a 100% ad valorem tariff on large drones and those deemed to pose specific national security risks, and a 25% tariff on smaller drones. Drones and drone components from the European Union, Japan, Liechtenstein, South Korea, and Switzerland will be subject to a 15% tariff. Drones from the United Kingdom will be subject to a 10% tariff. The White House stated, "The relevant tariffs will go into effect 21 days after signing. Tariffs on other drone components that are not particularly sensitive will take effect 180 days after signing."
