South Africa has launched an anti-dumping investigation into imported gypsum boards from China and Saudi Arabia.

Recently, the South African International Trade Administration Commission announced that it has initiated an anti-dumping investigation concerning imported gypsum boards from China and Saudi Arabia, following an application submitted by the producer Saint-Gobain Construction Products South Africa Ltd. The products in question are unadorned boards, sheets, panels, bricks, and similar items made of gypsum or gypsum-based materials with only paper or cardboard facing or reinforcement. The South African tariff number for the products involved is 6809.11. The period for the anti-dumping investigation will be from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, while the period for the injury investigation will be from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2025.
