The list of winners for the 2026 Future Science Prize has been announced.

On August 13, the Future Science Prize Review Committee announced the list of award winners for 2026. Zhang Hong, a researcher at the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, received the "Life Science Prize" for his pioneering contributions to revealing the autophagy mechanisms and physiological functions unique to multicellular organisms; Zhao Dongyuan, a professor at Fudan University, received the "Material Science Prize" for his groundbreaking contributions to mesoporous materials; and Yuan Xinyi, a professor at the Beijing International Center for Mathematical Research, Peking University, received the "Mathematics and Computer Science Prize" for his foundational contributions in the field of arithmetic geometry.
