According to Meituan, the company has launched the first official version of its "Wait for the Light, Stop the Timer" feature for delivery riders in Beijing, and road tests have begun in pilot areas. Multiple riders have confirmed that the initial round of testing has been completed. It is reported that in the first half of this year, the Meituan delivery safety technology team conducted internal product testing on certain roads in Beijing and developed a prototype, providing a model for pilot launches across the country. Currently, pilot road tests are being carried out on selected roads in Beijings Chaoyang District, Tongzhou District, and Economic and Technological Development Zone, which are the first to integrate traffic data. The time that delivery riders in Beijing spend waiting at red lights will gradually be accounted for separately and added to their delivery time.
