The Central Ecological and Environmental Protection Inspection has achieved full coverage in three rounds.

The State Council Information Office held a series of themed press conferences today on the topic "Starting the 14th Five-Year Plan." At the conference, it was introduced that the central ecological and environmental protection inspection has gone through a 10-year journey. Ten years sharpening a sword! We have achieved full coverage in three rounds of routine inspections spanning all 31 provinces and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. Since the pilot program began in Hebei Province in 2015, the central ecological and environmental protection inspection has identified a large number of prominent issues, publicly exposed 349 typical cases, delegated 6,475 rectification tasks to the inspected entities, and accepted 380,000 complaints from the public. Under the strong promotion of inspections, the previously severe and detrimental problems have significantly decreased, with many regional and watershed common issues effectively resolved. The public's sense of ecological and environmental gain, happiness, and safety has notably improved, and the inspection's role as a sword has been effectively realized.
