The world's first successfully conducted terahertz-enhanced brain consciousness clinical trial has been completed in Beijing.

Recently, reporters learned that the team led by Chang Chao from the National Defense Technology Innovation Research Institute, in collaboration with the teams of He Jianghong and Yang Yi from the Beijing Tiantan Hospital affiliated with Capital Medical University, has completed a clinical trial using terahertz wave therapy to restore brain function in patients with consciousness disorders. This trial is also the first successful clinical trial for terahertz-enhanced brain awareness conducted on an international scale, providing a new technical solution for awakening consciousness and cognitive rehabilitation in patients with brain injuries, thus filling a gap in clinical applications in this field.
